Transitional Studies Across the Core: A Faculty Development Opportunity
This initiative focuses on instructional techniques to help students develop the skills and habits they need to succeed in college courses.
Description:
This workshop (for all faculty) features renowned educator Todd Zakrajsek who focus on the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes that students need to succeed in college classes. Faculty will be guided to develop course-embedded approaches, in their discipline, consistent with proven instructional techniques.
Up to 12 grants of $2,000 each will be awarded to faculty members (who teach a CORE course) to support course re-design over the Summer months, with implementation to follow Fall semester. A final session will be held early Spring semester, 2019.
